👆の解説（感想？）ではnothingに拘ってユングまで持ち出しているが（別に珍しくはないが）、自分のような素人からすると、素直に３つ並べれば、shadowも、nothingも、in a glassも関連付けられてないかと思うのだが。。

ニッチなことを言えば、thereはtheやwhereとは同じ語源（so それ）を持ち、theはboth（両方のそれ）を派生語に持つ。シェークスピアの英語を考えると、深読みしたくなるところだ。
すなわち、Forの指示するafterthoghtを考慮すると、「というのは」は「それみろ」という、荒野を行くリア王への皮肉を感じさせる。
